Back Bay Neighborhood

Back Bay is one of America’s most desirable neighborhoods. Newbury Street, Boylston Street and Commonwealth Avenue are lined with unique shops, trendy restaurants and vintage homes, making the Back Bay an extremely fashionable destination for Boston residents and visitors. In fact, it’s not uncommon to spot celebrities strolling up and down these picturesque streets. Architecturally the neighborhood is dominated by Victorian brownstone buildings in its northern, more residential portion; the southern part of the neighborhood is far more commercial and is home to some of Boston’s tallest skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and the John Hancock Tower, in addition to architectural treasures such as Trinity Church and the Boston Public Library. Back Bay has some of the most expensive homes and condominiums in the state of MA. Real Estate prices for townhomes frequently sell for 7 million and up. Some ranging into the 20’s and 30’s. Condominiums can run $500 - $700 a square foot and higher for luxury properties.

Fenway Neighborhood

Fenway: It is the home of Fenway Park, the famous Citgo sign, Kenmore Square, Northeastern University, parts of Boston University, Berklee College of Music, The Boston Conservatory, Emmanuel College, Massachusetts College of Art, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Simmons College, Wheelock College, New England School of Photography, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Boston Condo Market

The numbers are in for the year end 2007 and the down town Boston condo market is fairing pretty well all considered. The downtown Boston neighborhoods consist of beacon hill, back bay, downtown, north end, south end, kenmore and fenway. Compared to 2006 the year end 2007 saw a rise in prices of 2.8% even though the number of sold units was down 14%. The median price went from $495,000 to $509,000. Read more

Kenmore Neighborhood

Kenmore Square is a square in Boston,  consisting of the intersection of several main avenues, (including Beacon Street and Commonwealth Avenue) as well as several other cross streets, and Kenmore Station, an MBTA subway stop. Kenmore Square abuts Boston University, and is synonymous with Lansdowne Street, one of Boston’s nightlife centers; it is also near Fenway Park. Read more
